Hands-on maths learning designed for every child to succeed
At our Multisensory Maths Studio, we use evidence-based, hands-on strategies to help students truly understand the language of maths. Whether your child is struggling, needs targeted intervention, or simply learns best through doing, our tailored approach builds confidence, strengthens foundations, and supports long-term success.
We specialise in working with diverse learners, including those with learning difficulties, using concrete tools and structured instruction that make maths meaningful and achievable.
Our approach
At our studio, we use the Maths Australia program—an evidence-based approach to teaching mathematics that helps students build strong foundations through step-by-step, mastery-based learning. The program uses hands-on tools (called manipulatives) to help students see and touch mathematical ideas, which makes abstract concepts easier to understand. This is especially helpful for children who benefit from visual or tactile learning and for those who may need a different pace or approach than what's typically offered in the classroom.
We follow a multisensory approach to teaching maths, which means students engage with concepts in a variety of ways—seeing, hearing, and physically working with materials—before moving on to written symbols and equations. This method is part of the I-CRAVE Maths framework, a research-based strategy that supports students in steadily building, refining, and retaining their maths skills. The goal is for maths to become meaningful and relevant to each student, helping them feel more confident, capable, and empowered. By developing deep understanding rather than surface-level memorisation, we aim to set students up for long-term success—not just in maths, but in life.
