ABOUT US
As a dedicated mathematics and special education teacher, I am committed to helping every student appreciate the beauty of mathematics.
Although mathematics is often regarded as an abstract subject, we will utilize hands-on materials to visualize the concepts through an evidence-based, multisensory program.
OUR APPROACH
At our studio, we use the Maths Australia program—an evidence-based approach to teaching mathematics that helps students build strong foundations through step-by-step, mastery-based learning. The program uses hands-on tools (called manipulatives) to help students see and touch mathematical ideas, which makes abstract concepts easier to understand. This is especially helpful for children who benefit from visual or tactile learning and for those who may need a different pace or approach than what's typically offered in the classroom.
We follow a multisensory approach to teaching maths, which means students engage with concepts in a variety of ways—seeing, hearing, and physically working with materials—before moving on to written symbols and equations. This method is part of the I-CRAVE Maths framework, a research-based strategy that supports students in steadily building, refining, and retaining their maths skills. The goal is for maths to become meaningful and relevant to each student, helping them feel more confident, capable, and empowered. By developing deep understanding rather than surface-level memorisation, we aim to set students up for long-term success—not just in maths, but in life.
